Politicians of both side need to give their voters more credit
May 31st, 2010 by Daniel Young | Filed under Politics.Kevin Rudd seems determined to kill his own Government by a thousand cuts, the latest incision coming in the shape of his decision to launch a $30m+ advertising campaign in support of his mining super tax proposal. In 2007, Rudd described political advertising as ‘a cancer on democracy’.
There is no doubt that the Government’s approach treats the electorate with contempt but does the following effort by the Liberal Party perform any better on that scale.
I don’t think so.
